■ Municipal Lavender Garden
The lavender garden spreads to Hokuseiyama in the western part of Nakafurano-cho.
You can enjoy the colorful flowers not only lavender, but sage and sunflowers.
A superb view overlooking the Tokachidake mountain range can be seen when ascending by lift.
■ Misatosekka
White lavender can only be found here in Hokkaido. It was a gift from Misato-cho in Akita prefecture.
■ Nakafurano melon
Nakafurano-cho is the production center of Hokkaido's leading melon. It has a high sugar content orange flesh, and an unrivaled melt away texture.
■ Cycling
Relaxed cycling in the nature of Hokkaido. The Biei area in Furano has a recommended cycling course for tourists and road sign.
■Tokachidake mountain range and Rural Scenery
The rural scenery of Tokachidake mountain range and the Furano Basin stretching on forever. Being able to see such scenery combined with lavender is only available here.
■ Nakafurano Shinrin Park
In spring you can see cherry blossoms and tulips, and in fall you can see the red autumn leaves. It is the perfect place to take a leisurely walk through nature.
■ Clean Rice
Nakafurano clean rice is grown in the fertile earth of Nakafurano with clean air, and low pesticides.
■ Curry
The healthy Nakafurano vegetable curry which uses rice and vegetables from primarily from Nakafurano-cho.

Nakafurano-cho is located almost in the center of Hokkaido, and is a town which is endowed with nature and scenery of the Furano Basin.
It is the treasure house of farm produce in Hokkaido which developed through agriculture and in 1999 was declared the town of clean agriculture promotion since reclamation in 1895, and produces safe high quality farm products.
You can take part in experience-based sightseeing throughout the year with fine food and events in the Nakafurano color at the lavender sightseeing birthplace Farm Tomita, Saika no Sato Sasaki Farm which is dotted with lavender fields such as the municipal lavender garden; the colors such as Tokachidake federation and the beautiful rural scenery.

Summer - Lavender Festival & Fireworks Display July 14, 2018 (Sat.)
The no.1 event of the town that is put together every year at the flowering time of the lavender.
The fireworks going up from the flower garden in particular are unmissable.
Autumn - Nakafurano Flower Bicycle Ride
September 24th, 2018 (Mon.) A bicycle ride is held sponsored by the association of Nakafurano sightseeing. It runs along a course in Nakafurano-cho.
Winter - Local Sake Festival
An event where you can enjoy Junmai Sake (Horafuki) made from Nakafurano-cho produced rice (Yukihikari) and handmade dishes.

A big winter event held at Hokusei Ski Area.
The whole family can enjoy snow statues, snowy slope, game tournament and more.
Sightseeing base around Nakafurano where you can take a full tour of the area within an hour.
Biei-cho - Blue pond
It is approximately five minutes on foot from the parking lot of a blue pond.
Early in the morning on a sunny day the pond appears bright blue. It is said to appear blue because the water combines the water from the Shirogane Onsen upstream and the Biei River. It's a bizarre phenomenon with blue water from the Shirahige waterfall area to the blue pond.
Kamifurano-cho - Lavender East
The largest scale lavender field in Japan is in an area about 4km east from Tomita Farm, operating only in July(8:30a.m.~5:00p.m.). A lavender bus runs in the gardens (Adult fare: 200 yen, children: 100 yen), You can see the carpet of lavender from the observation deck and the hills where the winds are fragrant.
Furano-shi - Heso (Bellybutton) Matsuri
Festival to be held in Furano-shi July 28th, and 29th. It's a pleasant festival where dancers paint a large face on their belly as they like and march to the music while covering their faces.
Being in Hokkaido's geographic center (bellybutton), the festival was named thus.
Minamifurano-cho - Night Picnic
Kanayama Lake in Minamifurano-cho is frozen over with thick ice during the winter. Head out to the center of Kanayama Lake in snowshoes at night, put up your tent, and gaze across the starlit sky. This tour shows you a fantastic world opening up in the heavens above.(7:30p.m.~9:00p.m.)。
Shimukappu-mura - Sea of Clouds Terrace
Early morning from June to October. You can watch a magnificent sea of clouds which opens up under your eyes while you drink coffee on a terrace made for visits to sea of clouds from the gondola mountaintop Station (about 12 minutes) of the Tomamu skiing area in Shimukappu-mura. It's an experience for those willing to get up early and start their day great.
